Originally entitled The Life of Sister Mary of St Peter, Carmelite of Tours. It is compiled primarily of the letters of the holy Carmelite of Tours, Sr Marie de St Pierre, her Mother Superior, and other contemporaries, including Ven. Leo Papin-Dupont (known at the time as the holy man of Tours, due to the thousands of miracles connected to his oratory in which the Holy Face was honoured). The book is edited by Janvier, one of the priests of the Holy Face, an order established to honour the Holy Face and carry on the Work of Reparation, asked for by Our Blessed Lord. The biographical work is accompanied by the editor's thoughts, wisdom and historical commentary.
